I was on the lookout for a good yoga mat to replace my current one as my current one was thin and causing me pain in joints. hence, I wanted a mat with enough grip at the same time adequate comfort. this mat met all my needs. it is made of a kind of rubber hence it has adequate grip on the floor and doesn’t move on tiled floor (even though the profile says that it is not suitable for tiled floor). it is almost 13mm in thickness so it provides adequate comfort and cushion. it is not as heavy as you would expect a rubber mat to be, however, since it is bulky it maybe cause slight inconvenience while carrying. the only con i could think of is the smell. it has a new rubber smell and it lingers on ur clothes at times. may cause problems for asthmatic people. but i am hoping that airing it out for a few days may improve that. I would say that this mat is comparable to the decathlon pilates mat but at less than half the price. i purchased it for rs. 850 in the republic day sale and it is a win. still cannot comment on the durability.

The cushioning effect with the extra thick mat is good. It is suitable for light exercises, yoga stretches, etc. But while doing high intensity exercises the surface gets slippery after a while with sweat. Will need an extra layer of towel on top of the mat to absorb the sweat and avoid slipping.

Bought it for around 1k but doesn’t feel worth that much. It’s nice but the material isn’t long lasting, especially if you are thinking of using this for any exercises that need high movement of the body and might stretch the mat then avoid this as it will get torn.

I wanted a thick mat and at 13mm this is very comfortable for workouts, although it is a yoga mat. Cons are, the mat is little slippery, although that is manageable for my use cases. Considering the cons, at 989 it is good.

Don’t be fooled by the Amazon Monopoly through the reviews- slips. And this causes injury during yoga.- poor and cheap foam, easily tears off while doing simple planks too.- stinks like sewage. Yes. You read that right.- wobbly soft. So balancing is tough.- easily catches dirt and stains.+ Very light.+ Black colour.
